Every month we like to take a moment to recognize the men and women who keep our stores up and running. At BC Clark, we love celebrating the loyalty and friendships that have been established among our family of employees. And as we jump into February, we want to say publicly how much we LOVE this group of employees celebrating their anniversary!
Without these dedicated men and women, the BC Clark world would not run nearly as smoothly as it does. We would like to publicly thank each of you for the hard work, dedication, and joy you bring to the BC Clark family each and every day. These are the February Employee Anniversaries!
Congratulations to our dear friends at Brides of Oklahoma on celebrating their 10th Anniversary!
It’s hard to believe that it has been a decade since we all sat around a table and dreamed about the amazing possibilities that were in store for this wonderful publication. We were honored then to be a part of the initial conversation, and we continue to consider our relationship with this beautiful publication one of our most cherished partnerships.
The Brides of Oklahoma 10th Anniversary issue is truly a wonderful homage to the wedding community, here in OKC.
To Kami and Ashley, thank you for your devotion to such a grand endeavor. Your work has not gone unnoticed. Brides of Oklahomamagazine is truly a gem.
The fact that you are celebrating 10 years of circulation is a testament to your hard work, your eye for style, and your unwavering commitment to helping couples celebrate one of the most meaningful days of their lives together.
From us to you, “Here’s to 10 more years!”
You can pick up a free copy of the 10th Anniversary issue at any of our three locations, or you may purchase this season’s issue, as well as back issues on the Brides of Oklahoma website, here.
We are excited to be a part of Keep it Local Weekend! As a participating Keep it Local business we’ve contributed a $100 and $50 Gift card to the event.
What exactly is Keep it Local Weekend? Glad you asked!
Keep It Local Weekend is a two-day shopping event designed to encourage people to support Oklahoma’s unique locally-owned businesses! Anyone who visits a participating location on Friday, January 20th or Saturday, January 21st will be eligible to enter a drawing to win $1,000 in local gift cards. Shoppers may enter the drawing at as many locations as they like.
The winner will be announced the week of January 22-28.
Have you picked up the 2017 Keep it Local card yet? If not, no worries. You can find a list of local businesses selling the card by clicking the image below..
Our 200th winning couple brings new meaning to having a “White Wedding!”
On January 6th, George & Vivian became our first winning couple of 2017! And if that wasn’t enough, it was one of our rare instances that it actually SNOWED instead of rained. (It was January after all.) And to top it all off, George and Vivian were our 200th Pray for Rain winning couple!
The couple celebrated their wedding in Taos, New Mexico and said their vows as 1.6 inches of freshly fallen snow blanketed our city.
George and Vivian’s great luck brings our Pray for Rain total to over $730,000 in free engagement rings that we have given away as a part of this promotion!
So how does Pray for Rain work exactly? Glad you asked!
Simply put, if it rains or snows one inch or more in OKC on your wedding day, your engagement ring could be FREE (up to $5,000)!
The original purchaser of a diamond engagement ring from BC Clark Jewelers is entitled to a full refund (excluding sales tax) of the purchase price of that ring, up to a maximum of $5,000, if rainfall (or snowfall) on the wedding day for which the ring was purchased measures one inch or more at any of our official locations of measurement.
Rainfall is measured at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City and by Oklahoma Mesonet at two metro locations during the twenty-four hour period of midnight to midnight the day of the wedding.
At the close of 2016, The Pantone Color Institute named its color of the year for 2017. And this year the institute used their platform to make a bold environmental and political statement.
A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings.
Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.
At BC Clark, we pride ourselves on carrying designers who are constantly on the leading edge of fashion and cultural movements. And this year is no exception.
So, to celebrate this year’s color, we’ve highlighted a couple of items from David Yurman’s Chatelaine Collection that incorporate Pantone’s Color of the Year. You can scroll through the images on the left to have a closer look.
If you like what you see (and we are confident that you will) drop by any of our three OKC locations to pick up one of these pieces for yourself!
“Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment.
Satisfying one growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another, and a larger purpose.”
-Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute

At BC Clark, we love celebrating the loyalty and friendships that have been established among our family of employees. We can’t think of a better way to kick off 2017 than by saying thank you to this crew of employees!

On December 1st, our Holiday Open House benefited the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. The donations collected at the door totaled $3,395. We had a great day of festive fun at all three locations.
At Northpark, ChristopherRadko Ambassador, Jeff Clark personalized Christmas ornaments and shared his expertise. And at Penn Square we got the privilege of spending time with Jon Morris, owner and designer for Olivia Riegel. Jon introduced his new line and signed in-store purchases.
During the month of August, we donated all of our watch battery revenue to the Jewelers For Children Fund. With your help, we raised nearly $9,500. And speaking of watch batteries, 2016 brought about a new partnership with Keep it Local OK. We offered a discount on battery replacements at all three stores, when customers presented their Keep it Local card.
And as always, don’t forget to ask for a “Church Coupon” any time you make a purchase. We will donate 3% of the sale to the church of your choice. Twice a year, we send out checks to over a hundred local churches. It’s a simple way that we like to say thank you to our local community of faith.
2016 has been quite a year, and thanks to our amazing customers, BC Clark was able to give back to the community that has embraced us for the last 125 years!
At BC Clark Jewelers, we strive to have the most educated and committed staff anywhere.
At the annual BC Clark Awards Banquet, multiple awards were presented to members of each of the three BC Clark stores, including the Student of the Year award.
Chris Cobb of our Downtown store was recognized with this prestigious honor for her dedication and completion of several gemological courses which ultimately resulted in her achievement of a Certified Gemologist title from the American Gem Society.
You know the line, and you know the Jingle. But have you ever really thought about everything that has happened between then and now? It’s really quite remarkable when one takes the time to consider it.
Our company has been through two World Wars, twenty-two Presidents, the rise of the automobile, the invention of the television, and much, much more. From our store windows we’ve seen our state grow through an oil boom, survive an oil bust, and withstand an attack on the heart of our downtown core. We’ve been in this business for 124 Years. That means 124 Christmases!
And speaking of Christmas, we stumbled on to a fun Holiday fact this week. Back on December 18th, 1892, the very same year that Benton Clyde Clark opened his doors for the first time, Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky was preparing for the debut of his brand new Christmas ballet. The premier was to happen in the famous Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.
