We’ve designed and built a completely new website. Overhauled our emails. Brought our print newsletter up-to-speed. And launched a new blog (which you’re currently looking at).
For over 30 years, the BC Clark Facets newsletter has served as the flagship print publication for everything we do as a company. From promotions, to advertisements, to employee and customer appreciation, Facets has been the face of the BC Clark brand. For the last 377 issues, our customers have come to expect our newsletter to show up in their mailboxes, as trusty and reliable as the BC Clark Jingle in December.
In 2008, we decided to step out and provide yet another avenue to share the BC Clark brand with our customers by launching the monthly BC Clark email newsletter. For a large number of loyal customers, the email has served as a more accessible way to peruse the content from the printed newsletter.
Today, we are excited to introduce the latest evolution of the BC Clark brand, the BC Clark Facets blog.
Going forward, the digital version of Facets will join its printed counterpart as the mouthpiece of BC Clark Jewelers; serving up all the content and information you love and expect, just more frequently and timely than ever before. And because many of you still look forward to finding Facets in your mailbox and inbox every month, you can still count on those components of the expanding Facets family to show up when and where you expect them to.
“Why the change?” you may be asking. Great question!
The answer is simple. Our hope is that the blog will provide our customers with ongoing, up-to-date information all year long, not simply on a month-to-month basis.
This will allow us to keep everyone informed of new promotions, sales, and exciting events going on throughout the month. The print version of the newsletter will serve as a recap of the blog’s best and most recent content and provide information of things to come. Likewise, the monthly email will provide highlights of the month and links to the Facets blog.
And as if all of this Facets business wasn’t enough, we have also spent the last few months giving our award-winning website a fresh makeover. We’ve been busy around here!
The new BCClark.com is still home to all of the products, stories, and features that made the previous website an industry favorite, but we’ve taken a step back and given it a much cleaner, more visually appealing look and feel.
The beautiful product photos and clean, simple layout of the site provides customers with an extremely unique and robust browsing experience. In the web design and development world, this is called user experience (UX) and user interface (UI).
Apart from all the amazing jewelry and imagery, the first thing you’ll notice when you begin to navigate the website is the unique menu system. As opposed to an always-present main menu that takes up precious screen real estate, this full screen visual menu system can be collapsed and expanded from any page on the website.
In addition to the overall redesign, we’ve also revamped a couple of the most popular sections of the website – Pray for Rain and Bridal Registry.
The Pray for Rain section of the site has undergone a dramatic transformation. It now shines a huge spotlight on the winning couples and delivers necessary information in a more visual and digestible way. It offers a dynamic display of Pray for Rain’s 191 winners (to-date) and 18-year history, and (automagically) updates as frequently as Oklahoma’s weather forecast.
Finally, our Bridal Registry is bigger, better, and more beautiful than ever. We’ve put a lot of love and effort into making the registry a much simpler interface to navigate.
With enhanced search capabilities, finding the registry you’re looking for is a breeze. And the new registry display makes it easier for guests to make purchasing decisions, and for couples to see items that have been purchased to their registry.
Whew! There you have it – all the info you could possibly want about the new BCClark.com and Facets blog, in one really long post. This is the new look of BC Clark! And while this was both riveting and informative, we would love for you to take a few minutes to check them both out for yourself by visiting BCClark.com, and by diving into all the great content right here on the Facets blog.
